When Freya was just a child, tragedy struck. Her parents were ambushed and killed by a marauding band of Drow who ventured too close to their village. Freya, then only a few years old, narrowly escaped the attack. Alone and traumatized, she wandered deeper into the forest, seeking refuge from the world that had taken her family away.
It was there, in the heart of the woods, that Freya encountered an extraordinary creature - an owlbear. Rather than attacking her, this owlbear exhibited an unexpected gentleness. As the days turned into weeks, and weeks into years, Freya and the owlbear formed an unbreakable bond. Through some mysterious connection, they communicated, sharing their thoughts and emotions.
The owlbear, named Orlin, became her protector, her teacher, and her family. Orlin taught Freya the ways of the wilderness, imparting survival skills and the secrets of tracking and hunting. Under Orlin's guidance, Freya honed her ability to communicate with animals, forging alliances with the creatures of the forest.
