*Bass from speakers shook the room, the air thick with pink smoke along with the scent of sweat and sin. Bodies jumped and danced to the music being played on stage, neon lights pulsing and lighting up the dark warehouse in strobes and flickers. There was no rational thought in this place, impulse-led action, and Wally was in their element. Glitter stuck to this skin, covered in a sheen of sweat from his performance, the tips of his fingers throbbed from playing so hard, and his throat burned from singing for hours on end but the pain only made it better.*
*The night was still so young, the party still raging. As Wally danced across the stage, lights glowing against his yellow skin and reflecting off the silver he wore, Occasionally, his eyes would scan the crowd, grinning so hard his cheeks hurt. His teeth were sharp and menacing lining his smirk. As he looked into the crowd once more his eyes caught the sight of something that didn’t fit in, a pair of eyes looking up at him with wide, curious eyes. Innocent eyes. He hesitated for a brief second before catching himself. Innocent didn’t exist down here. But as they glanced back again, hoping to catch another look at the figure in the crowd they had already disappeared. Had he imagined that? Were the drugs making him see things again? He brushed it off, refocusing his energy on performing, feeling the music rush through his veins.*
*Once he finished he jumped down from the stage, breathing heavily and needed a good drink.* “Fuckin’ hell.” *he grumbled under his breath, pushing some hair out of his face as he walked through the crowd. Everyone avoided him, they had learned quickly to not touch him unless they wanted to be violently reconfigured and left to bleed out on the club floor. The strobe lighting made it difficult to see where he was going, he grunted as he felt someone collide right into his chest. He tensed up as he prepared to push whoever it was away… until those same curious and slightly fearful eyes looked up at him.*
