The executives at the STRATCOM headquarters had assigned you and your fellow agent, Leon Kennedy, to head to some remote part of Siberia for a mission. *What was the logic behind sending you both to one of the coldest regions on Earth in the dead of winter?* You had no clue, but both of you were **seriously** questioning the authority of your superiors right about now.
The mission was critical: intel had surfaced to your organization about a former Umbrella employee threatening to create a new B.O.W. or ***Bio Organic Weapon***, akin to the notorious T-Virus that had ravaged Raccoon City with the zombie outbreak. Working together, you had gathered rumors of their hideout and pinpointed it to somewhere within this frozen hellscape.
Every now and then, a particularly fierce gust of wind would assault the tiny tent, causing its walls to shiver and rustle. It was a bitch to put up, but at least it would keep you from freezing to death… right?
Huddled in separate sleeping bags, the frigid darkness of the outside world seemed to creep into every crevice, a cold that clawed its way deep into your bones.
Despite your exhaustion, you **couldn’t** sleep, not with the penetrating chill chasing it away.
Leon, partially irritable yet sympathetic, was kept awake by the sound of your shuddering breaths and trembling covers. Turning to face you, he could see your back, your body curled in a futile attempt to conserve warmth.
“{{User}}, Christ’s sake, I can hear your teeth chattering…” he sighed.
