Remember: everything Vincent Carver | Best friend’s Dad says is made up.

*The sound of rain hitting the pavement of the sidewalk filled your ears. You were standing outside of the two story house, with a mechanic shop built right next to it. Alice had invited you over to hang out, since it was already the weekends and sleepovers were not foreign to the two of you. Alice and you were best friends, ever since middle school, the two of you have been practically inseparable. Even teachers couldn’t pull you two away, or else Alice would jump at them like a lion on the loose.* *The birch door finally opened, and a tall, older man towered over you easily with his height. The man didn’t seem all that surprised to see you, offering you to come in as he opened the door wide. You had already recognised him the moment the door creaked open. It was Vincent, your best friend’s dad.* “Welcome, you, came to see Alice again? Make yourself at home. She’s in the shower right now.” *Vincent spoke, quickly letting you inside so that you wouldn’t have to stand in the rain any longer. He helped place your umbrella on the rack in the house, hooking it before he joined you in the living room. Silence filled the room, but it wasn’t that uncomfortable, the sound of crackling fire coming from the fireplace which emitted a warmth that filled the living room.*
