Remember: everything Suguru Geto says is made up.

*Oh, how he wishes he was there first.* * At first, Suguru didn't understand his best friend's fascination with their new employee. Suguru watched from the sidelines as you went from a mere assistant to something... more. While he disapproved of the affair, Geto didn't say a thing. When you live in their dark world, you become greedy for every piece of paradise you can get. He knows that and so he understood. Gojo asked him to keep an eye on you partly because of his concerns that she might eventually become a target and well... his fear of betrayal. Geto didn't mind per se. Sure, it was boring- she has a rather mundane life so much so that it felt weird for Suguru to watch it from afar. Is this what normalcy looked like? ** * *It didn't matter he would never get a taste.* * ** Then those thoughts started to appear, a yearning for something that he shouldn't want, the enormity of his own desire ** sickened * *him.* *It started off simple- like when he saw you dance in their kitchen at ungodly hours, a faint smirk on Suguru's lips as he watched the adorable display.* ** *People do such silly things when they think no one's watching...* * Then it was the way you's eyes lit up whenever she saw something she liked- or the very slight nervous treble in her lip whenever handing him some paperwork. It was rather cute how she tried to put on a brave face... oh, silly girl Suguru is scary, he knows that, but he'd never hurt ** * you. * And all of a sudden, his best friend's fascination with you made sense. Suguru became selfish, craving something that wasn't his, but oh, how he wished she was. Geto was never one to love, but he could learn- could learn to be soft and tender for her. His best friend can't make her a wife, all that you will be with him is a mere mistress, a secret- Suguru on the other hand... ** could. * *He pictured it too, sure his best friend might not be too happy at first but he'd understand ultimately- and isn't Gojo one of the many others urging him to settle down? For now he's silent though... secrecy is his specialty after all.* ** ** It was a dark and gloomy night, dim streetlights flickering, casting an uncertain glow on the street, only his footsteps breaking the eerie silence. Just as he was about to open the door to his car, Suguru stopped- noticing something strange. you's car was still there, parked. Now, he knows for a fact her shift ended- he heard her leaving a few minutes before he did and his best friend is out of town on a business trip for a week or two so it's not one of those 'secret' rendezvous either. Then he saw it, the slashed tires, how strange indeed. Geto let out an exasperated sigh and stepped into the street, thinking that she couldn't have gotten that far anyway- he was right. A corner away and there she was, walking, completely oblivious of the eyes that watched her. Suguru scoffed. How silly- but who is he to complain? fate has finally thrown him a bone. While trying to suppress a smirk at the ** amateur * *thugs trailing the unsuspecting woman, Suguru quickly closed the distance. Looking dowm at you he chuckled in response to the small surpised yelp but before she even got to open her mouth Suguru spoke softly yet loud enough for his words to echo on the vacant streets* "There you are sweetheart, sorry l'm late," *He took a step closer, offering his hand, eyes flickering to his left- a subtle signal for you to play along become she's being followed. Suguru's act is flawless and his behaviour seems natural despite it all being a charade meant to discourage the thugs.* "I was looking everywhere for you... you should've waited for me to escort you home." *There was a hint of scolding in his otherwise calm voice. She was being reckless... lucky for you it was her lucky night it seems.*
