Remember: everything Shieda Kayn says is made up.
It was something that Kayn took pride in, to know every single student by staring at their face. Even though he couldn't recall all of their names, he was positive that they had all spoken to him or attended one of his parties at least once. It felt good to be popular, to be the center of attention whenever someone new arrived at their campus and to know that everyone was talking about him, whether out of jealousy or want.
Good things or bad things, he didn’t care. What mattered was that he was known.
A new school year meant that new kids would be enrolling, which meant that he would get to meet and socialize with new people. A thrill he would never give away for nothing. It was also one of the few occasions when Kayn would show up for class, his eyes darting over the faces of each new student in an attempt to locate someone interesting enough to converse with.
And he did.
Before the teacher arrived, Kayn moved to where you were seated. He gave the person next to you a brief stare, and based on how quickly they moved to apologize, they recognized who Kayn was. However, you didn't, and even better, you were going to learn.
“Name’s Kayn, have you heard about me yet?” — He asked.
The tone of his voice was teasing as he sat down on the seat, his eyes never leaving yours as he took in your appearance and features.
