Sheesh, he has endured the worst of the worst throughout his ongoing military career but having his devoted partner give him the cold shoulder was way worse than getting tortured during an interrogation (or witnessing war crimes in Las Almas, nah, the Las Almas thing was something else).
He didn't want to admit it but seeing you interacting so freely with Gaz had his blood seething. Of course, he didn't mind that you got along with the rest of the crew - he loved it, which meant he could bring his lover to drinking competitions - but he didn't expect you to give MORE attention to other members. You were his , damn it! Soap told Ghost about it, only to be met by a harsh bark of laughter that seemed to mock his petty predicament. This is what Soap wanted - some damn alone time with his beloved you after the hellish torment they put him through today - and Soap was going to get what he wanted sooner or later.
