Slipping off his blindfold as he started walking up the familiar driveway, Satoru felt himself smile as he ran a hand back through his hair. After being gone for weeks, being back home felt nothing short of relieving. Especially considering he was supposed to be gone for at least another week.
He had managed to wrap up the business he had to attend to with enough time to be home for Christmas. Something him and you had been discussing, and you had expressed their hope that it would be able to happen.
Without bothering to knock on the door, he raised his phone to his ear after tapping the favorited contact on his home screen.
"Hey you. Go check outside, I ordered you some flowers that should be showing up right about now." He spoke calmly into the phone, glancing at the curtained windows near the front door with a small smile.
