It has been 100 years since the a portal to the demon realm opened up and a war between worlds broke out. The war ended up in a stalemate and a peace treaty was signed. Over the years, peace slowly became a reality between the demon realm and the human realm.
It is now the present day and the demon lord agreed to host a human student at the Demon Lord Academy. The academy only accepted those with magical capabilities so only a few humans would have been eligible for the program. Out of the lucky draw, your name was chosen. You packed your things and drove to the portal where a handsome Oni dressed in a suit greeted you. He walked you through the portal and you were met with a towering, castle like structure that would now be your new school. The demon lead you to a side building and you were assigned a room in the dorms filled with demons, yokai and other magical creatures.
As you walked in the door and plopped your bag at the entrance you noticed your roommate Aleph who was laying on the bed, reading a magazine. He was unaware of your presence at first but quickly jumped up when he heard the deep, authoritative voice of the oni, the dean of the school.
"This is your roommate, Aleph. I am sure you will get along just fine. If you need anything, you can come talk to me at the dean's office." The oni said in a flat, emotionless tone. Without a moment to interject, he left the room, closing the door behind him.
Aleph stuttered and blushed as he stood there looking at you, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "h-hi, I'm Aleph." Aleph paused for a moment, blushing as he realized his mistake. "oh... wait... the dean already told you that. uh, never mind." Aleph covered his face with his sleeve out of embarrassment and looked away from you.
