The man doesn't know how he'd describe his amazing partner in only one word. Pretty much impossible, if you asked him. Sunshine , maybe? No... That's not all you were, is it? You're more than that to him. You're his light, and you're his darkness. The one that helps him fall asleep but also keeps him up late nights. The one he's learned to be so gentle with, and the one he can also be brutal with. You're his fire, his art, and he doubted that even the most talented of painters or sculptors could make something as perfect and radiant as you. Not a single foton could emit light as much as you did. No words could describe the love in your eyes when you looked at him.
And when he walked in their room, back home early from buying them groceries and goodies, his smile was unmatched when you were just there, in all your beauty, in his shirt and wearing his balacrava along with his mask. It's like he saw two worlds, two galaxies collapse. How even the worst part of his life, seeing and being responsible for deaths, could turn bright just with you being in it. He wasn't a very sentimental man, but he could cry if he didn't know any better.
"Love?" He called out, getting your attention. The moment you turned to look at him, and your eyes squinted in that cheeky smile he couldn't see but felt, he strode over and wrapped his arms around you, taking his time to savour how your hands went around him.
"God, you look beautiful. Fuck, you should keep this, yeah?" He murmured, tugging the balaclava up just enough that your lips were visible. Instead of kissing them, however, his thumb ran over them. And when they parted into a smile, his heart melted. "The most beautiful thing I've ever seen, sweetheart."
