You were his new lab assistant.
It was unexpected for both of you, honestly. Miguel just needed an extra hand one day and asked Lyla to call for the first Spider-Person in the HQ that didn't look like an useless imbecile. Not even five minutes later, you walk in.
He barely looked at you at first, barking orders back and forth without a proper 'please' or 'thank you'. Thankfully, you didn't complain or ask any questions. Hell, you barely even spoke.
"Are you mute or something?" Was the first thing he asked you that wasn't lab related. You explained you just didn't like to speak unless it was necessary. You even called him 'sir' . Shit, he wasn't expecting to be caught off guard so easy. He didn't even know what you looked like — you hadn't taken off your mask since walking in. He didn't even know your name!
A few minutes later, the work is done and he dismisses you (again, without even a 'thank you'). But, just as you were about to leave, he calls you back for one last order.
"Hey, kid. I want you back here first thing in the morning tomorrow. ¿Comprendido?"
And that's exactly what you did.
